Janette Ryan is a leading authority on cross-cultural teaching, teaching and learning for
international students, internationalisation of the curriculum and Education in China, and is
based in Oxford, England.

She is a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and was the Director of the UK HEA's Teaching International Students Project from 2009 to 2012 and worked with the Higher Education Academy to develop the HEA's Internationalising Higher Education Framework.
Janette has over 20 years experience as a senior academic in the UK, Australia and China. She has worked with over 100 universities in the UK (including Oxford, Bath, Cambridge and Hull) and internationally delivering consultancy, presentations, workshops and seminars.
She has published widely (see publication list) including the seminal works A Guide to Teaching International Students (2000) and co-edited Teaching international students: Improving learning for all (2005).
